Good design is good business!
Business owners have been putting their best face forward throughout Philadelphia, replacing shabby awnings, uncovering historic details, and brightening up entrances with lighting and planters. Their efforts are translating into new businesses, vibrant neighborhoods, and more jobs.
Join the Philadelphia Commerce Department and the Community Design Collaborative to recognize some of Philadelphia’s most unique and appealing storefronts and meet their innovative owners.
Winners will be chosen from a citywide call for nominations and may be recognized in the following categories: creative sign, window display, "green with envy", "honor the past", "bang for the buck", "extreme makeover", and best overall.
The Storefront Challenge is part of an ongoing partnership between the Philadelphia Commerce Department and the Community Design Collaborative to promote reinvestment in storefronts and to show the connection between strong design and successful neighborhood business development.
