Join International House Philadelphia at an opening reception for the solo exhibition of fiber optic works by artist/lighting designer Lyn Godley, who will be on hand to discuss her research on art, and light's physiological effects on healing.
The reception runs 5:30-7pm immediately followed by the artist talk from 7-8pm.
The exhibition includes fiber optic drawings which explore the relationship between art and technology. Merging digital printing, pastels, fiber optics and micro-computing, Godley creates layered imagery that play with themes of observation both by and of the viewer. Using the same light wavelengths as used in light therapy, and nature based imagery used in arts therapy, these pieces both calm and provoke the viewer.
