The Knight Cities Challenge is now accepting applications. Come to this information session to learn more about the Knight Cities Challenge and get your questions answered. Bring your ideas and lunch and we'll provide the information, drinks, and dessert.
An initiative of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Challenge asks people to submit ideas that address the question, "What's your best idea to make cities more successful?"
The challenge is offering a share of $5 million to make the 26 communities where Knight invests in more vibrant places to live and work. We are hoping to attract diverse ideas from architects, designers, city planners, students, entrepreneurs, and neighbors. The idea should focus on one or more key drivers of city success, including:
- Talent: ideas that help cities attract and keep the best and the brightest
- Opportunity: ideas that create economic prospects and break down divides
- Engagement: ideas that spur connection and civic involvement.
