This talk by Peter C. Archer, AIA - a partner at Archer + Buchanan Architecture, Ltd. - will highlight the process of designing and building the Magerman Residence, a traditional home of the early 21st century, recently built just outside of Philadelphia.

The house builds upon many precedents from American residential architecture of this region. The materials, forms and details of the design are based on a local language and create what the firm considers to be a “classic” in residential design.

The residential work of Archer + Buchanan Architecture, Ltd. seeks to respect a long history of American architecture, interpreting the design of new homes based on the changing lifestyles and construction technologies of today.
