Groundswell is taking over the PHS Pop Up Garden for their second annual GroundSwell Happy Hour at the PHS Pop Up Garden at 1428 South Street, next to the Jamaican Jerk Hut! Tickets to the event are $12, and you get admission to the Garden plus a two drink ticket (good for two beers, wines, or cocktails). GroundSwell's special guest for the evening will be Philadelphia's new Chief Cultural Officer, Helen Haynes for the Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy. PARK(ing) Day is September 19th: Sign Up Now!

On Friday, September 19th, Philadelphia will celebrate the international event known as Park(ing) Day. Dozens of interactive parks will appear on the streets of Philadelphia as artists, activists, planners, local businesses, and Philly residents take over metered parking spots, all in an effort to promote green and pedestrian-friendly urban spaces.
